Welcome to Pokemon: The Phoneme Project. (Pronounced FEE NOM )In this RP, there have been reports of creatures appearing all over the place. For the most part, these creatures have been largely unspecified and under reported. As a member of the military and a student of Dr. Gouki, your mission is to collect data on the appearance of these creatures. If possible, you are to either capture these creatures and bring them back, or eliminate them. There have been reports of a few extremists using these creatures, however...
You have been given one of these "Pokemon" to aid you in your effort. There is no way to contain the pokemon (as there are no pokeballs) so use your imagination. You can control ONLY yourself and your pokemon. Other than being hit in battles, I will not control either character. I will control my own character, and NPC's.
Rules:
-Each pokemon you encounter (dictated in the topic by me) will be a spliced or "Phoneme" pokemon; a fusion of two pokemon. Each character is new to these creatures, so there can be no "Oh look! A vulpix/phanphy creature!" Instead, your character may note that the creature is unusual and report on it.
-For the time being, there are no pokeballs. Be creative - find a way to bring the pokemon back (if that is what you wish to do. You may just take it for yourself in some way, or such..)
-No Godmodding. I will control wild pokemon. (Hinting is, of course allowed)
-All pokemon used must be base pokemon.
-4 Moves per pokemon. Each move must be made up, but it must be based off an existing move.
-Moves themselves are taken from the level up moves/egg moves from the two pokemon used. TM's will be available later on.

Post your profile and I will approve of it. Rules on splicing:
-No Splicing Legendaries
- I will assign abilities after approving your spliced pokemon.
-Any type of pokemon may be spliced, but they must be base level. I will comment on the typing of your pokemon, but, ultimately, you are the one that decides it's type/sub-type. However, it MUST take a type from both pokemon. (Meaning, if you use Murkrow and Bulbasaur, you MUST take one of each type. Either Dark and Grass, Flying and Grass, Dark and Poison, or Flying and Poison.)
-Please, be reasonable. Yes, you may splice Geodude and Ghastly; just realize that you may have problems crossing water.
Any other updates I will edit in red. I will post an example profile in a minute. If you wish, you may post simply asking if you are allowed to splice Pokemon A and Pokemon B, or post your full profile.

Setting: Dr. Gouki's research Facility
Time: 8:00 PM
They stand in a large, dark colored room. The lights overhead are off, but the flashes of different colors given off by the large monitor arrangement hanging against both walls splash against the tiled laboratory floor, casting shadows of the men standing. Though the computers were running, the room was silent. Apart from the large monitors hanging off of both sides of the room and their accompanying computer tables and work stations, the room was rather empty. In the dead center of said room lay a large logo emblazoned into the floor. The lights cast upon gave the logo a presence that one could only describe as eerie.
Dr. Gouki has gathered a small team of researchers from all different types of backgrounds. They all stand, horizontally lined up, behind the massive man in a doctor's coat, who seems to be reading something from a small device. There is an odd kanji displayed on his lab coat, but none of the researches can state with certainty what exactly it means. For a long moment, the doctor is quite, before looking up from his reading material. He turns slowly, until he finally locks eyes with Dr. Caolife, his faithful assistant.
Dr. Gouki: Large red prayer beads adorn his neck, showing over his shirt but under his lab coat. His eyes are hidden behind a pair of thing glasses with tints, but the group can tell that his eyes were cold. His hair is long, red like his beads, and just a bit damp. It's length is truly shown as he turns, his long locks moving towards his back, reaching a little further than his shoulder blades. The group can tell that he is both well built and well learned. His voice is rash, strong, and moderately loud. Slightly raspy, his voice causes the group moves in slightly.
Dr. Gouki: In my hand, gentlemen, I hold the key to success. This......device, you can say....is vital to research. Uyu, you will escort your group in a few minutes to religions unknown. This machine will record all of the creatures you will encounter.
He turns the the group now, a serious look on his face. He takes a look at each of the men, and then at the creatures at their feet. He nods very slowly, before beginning to speak once more.
Dr. Gouki: These...pests....have already been entered into each MonScout. When you encounter another one in the field, simply point this at the damn thing and hold down the glowing green button. When it turns blue, the creature has been recorded. It takes no more than 25 seconds to capture each feature of the creature. Once the data is recorded........ eliminate the creature, no ifs, ands, or buts.
A small smile, if one could call it that, races across his face. He then turns to his assistant once more. He hands him a few of the devices. Each one was a different color, but the interfaces were all the same.
Dr Gouki: Hand these out, Uyu. If there are any more questions, let me know now. If not, you are dismissed.
Dr. Caolife hands out each of the devices to each of the men standing, before nodding to Dr. Gouki, who takes a seat at one of the large, glowing monitors.

"Well then......are there any questions before we go? Ask now, or forever hold your tongue."
